Dressed in elegant evening wear, more than 250 guests were treated to a grand tour of the 52nd Showcase House – an elegant 1918 Mission Revival estate once known as “Dryborough Hall”.During a beautiful Spring evening, designers, PSHA members, and patrons of the arts strolled about the property and mingled in the newly designed spaces. Afterwards, the crowd gathered at the La Cañada Country Club for dinner and dancing where they were welcomed with champagne and a medley of passed hors d’oeuvres.“Premiere Night is an exciting night for us. It is a night where we show our appreciation to the designers and members for their tireless efforts and contributions,” said Premiere Night Co-Chairs Linda Zimmer and Michele Lembo.Guests dined on a special menu— farm fresh salad with mozzarella and prosciutto de parma; filet mignon and sautéed jumbo prawns complete with creamy risotto, asparagus and baby carrots; and for dessert, lavender creme brulee with season berries.The band, That Vibe, lured guests onto the dance floor and kept them dancing the night away. Guests were also treated to a special performance by the Dance Street Studio.The 2016 Pasadena Showcase House of Design is now open to the public through May 15, 2016. Tickets cost between $35-$45. All visitors to Showcase House must be 12 years of age and older. Flat shoes only. This year, PSHA will be revisiting a Mission Revival estate that was transformed at the hands of 30 designers.
